1) Elder Education Enrichment Pass – this pass allows free admission for 2 adults to attend one Elder Education Enrichment lecture each semester. Elder Education Enrichment is an organization that offers interesting and diverse programs on foreign affairs, Vermont history & issues, and more! 2) Comment Board – how are we doing? We have a board in the library to the right of the entrance where patrons can let us know what they like in the library, or what they feel we need to improve upon. Feel free to let us know how we’re doing! Thank you.
3) New hours! Effective Saturday October 4, we will be open until 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays! To celebrate our extended hours we are having movie matinees on Saturday, October 4 and Saturday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. Snacks provided!
4) Annual Friends of the Library Basket Raffle – we are accepting basket donations for the Friends of the Library basket raffle. If you would like to donate a basket, please include a book and items relating to the book. Also, please make a list of what’s in the basket. Bring the basket to the library before November 1. Tickets will go on sale in November and the drawing will be on Saturday, December 6. All proceeds will help support library programs.
Dates & times for some of the children’s events were incorrect in the Milton Recreation Brochure. The following are the correct dates & times:
Toddler Story Times are on Fridays at 10:00 a.m.
Preschool Story Times are on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m.
The Traveling Storyteller will be on Tuesday, December 30 at 10:00 a.m.
After School Crafting with Senior Girl Scout Gabby Fenton will be on Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. on Oct. 8, Oct. 15, & Oct. 22 (there will be no after school craft club that runs through the school year).
The library will be closed on Monday, September 1, for Labor Day. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
The library will be closed on Saturday, August 23, because of the football jamboree.
